Nagy örömömre ismét kiállítás nyílik az illusztrációimból március 18-án 17h-kor a Rottenbiller 10. FSZEK Deák Ferenc Könyvtárban „Korzika” címen!
A kiállítást megnyitja Feleki Zoltán, világjáró
2007-ben jártam először Korzikán, és magával ragadott a kakukkfű és fenyő illatú sziget a tenger közepén. A hegyek, a patakok, az elvarázsolt sziklák, a tengerpartok és az aokatt őrző Genovai őrtornyok, a városkák, amik hamisítatlanul mediterrán kisvárosok, mégis mindegyik korzikai, mindegyik egyedi. Bastia, Calvi, Ajaccio, Bonifaccio, Corte és a többi.
Tavaly negyedszerre jártam ott és ami már az első alkalommal bakancs listára, most az is megvalósult, és én végiggyalogolhattam túrazsákkal a GR20 túraútvonalat, Európa egyik legnehezebb és legvadregényesebb ösvényét keresztül a szigeten, 16 napon át.
Az összegyűlt emlékekből rajzok lettek, színes ceruzával, tűfilccel. Korzika ihletésű Malac és Tehén című mini képregény sorozatom is Korzika sportos tehenei és szabad malacai ihlették – vagy Boci-boci Tarka, és a Kurtafarkú Kismalac az Üveghegyen túlról. Most a falra kerülnek, felidézik a korzikai nyarakat, a bakancsban járt utakat szikla és fenyő között.

It was 2007 and love at first sight arriving at Corsica for first time to this thyme and pine scented island in the middle of the Mediterranean sea. Mountains and brooks and rocks, sea shores watch over by the Genoese towers, city all Mediterranean still all unique. Bastia, Calvi, Ajaccio, Bonifaccio, Corte just to mention a few.
It was my fourth time being there last year, and also checking off a long due item on the bucket list. I walked along GR20 one of the most difficult and overwhelmingly beautiful hiking trail of Europe through the island.
Pig and Cow appeared in my drawings a few years ago at that time as side characters. They stayed with me, and this summer hiking in Corsica the Corsica Cows Sport Club (Local panorama fan cows sporting up anywhere where you can’t even think of yourself scrambling up) and the Free Pigs Association members roaming around the pozzi reminded me of them. Or maybe they are from Hungarian fairy tales? Who knows.
The memories of Corsica, made into the sketchbook, then into drawings and now onto the walls reviving the Mediterranen summers and the trails I walked among rocks and pinetrees.
